“My Boots” is the new single from the Canadian-born LIGHTS, who showcases a slight stylistic change to her emotional synthpop.  Most of her debut album is easily, and often, compared to contemporary Owl City.  Their blips and beeps and melodies were similar, but now LIGHTS has incorporated what sounds like a page from La Roux’s book with a more driving dance-based production with her airy vocal delivery.  While “My Boots” is excellent and a great lead-off for LIGHTS, it’d be a shock if this track broke her to the mainstream.  Still, I believe she’s on her way there.
